(Herein referred to as Edgeworth Water Authority)
The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Edgeworth is committed to providing its customers with a safe, high quality, reliable water supply that meets or exceeds all applicable Local, State and Federal regulations in a cost effective and efficient manner. Imperative to these commitments are the safety of our employees and the communities we serve, courteous professional service and convenience for our customers, and the fiscal integrity of the authority.
Edgeworth Water Authority was created by the Council of the Borough of Edgeworth on September 10, 1956. We furnish water service to a general service area including the Boroughs of Edgeworth, Leetsdale, Bell Acres and Leet Township.
UPDATE: The leak was isolated to First Street between Ferry St and Center Ave
Residual effects may be lasting. Since the water was flowing in reverse there may be some sediment in the water lines. If this happens to you just allow the water to run clear from the faucet closest to where it comes into the house. Maybe a utility tub in the basement would be a good idea. The water is safe for consumpiton.
7/1/22 2:45 We have a large water main break in Leetsdale in the Industrial Park.
This is effecting all of Leetsdale and may effect parts of Edgeworth as well.
The crews are out working on it. I will keep you posted when I know more. Sorry for the inconvenience.
